Please reach us at barkavenueamarillo@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
At Bark Avenue Pet Styling, our Policies and Procedures are designed to protect your pet's well-being and ensure a safe environment for our team. Before we provide any grooming services, every client must sign the Policies and Procedures Agreement and have a current credit card on file.
Our priority is delivering quality care in a calm and secure setting.
All pets must be up to date with their Rabies Vaccination when they come to Bark Avenue. Pet owners are responsible for keeping vaccination records current; Bark Avenue does not contact veterinarians to confirm this information. We strongly advise clients to understand the legal risks of not vaccinating their pets.
For the safety of all individuals, we kindly request that pets always remain leashed.
If your pet requires the use of a protective muzzle for grooming due to anxiety, aggression, or other behavioral considerations, Bark Avenue will implement special accommodations such as additional handling support or a quieter environment which may require the us to reschedule the appointment. To reduce stress for both pets and staff, clients are required to select our Express Grooming Option, a streamlined service providing an in and out priority while focusing on essential care. This service incurs an additional fee of $40.00.
• Certain behavioral challenges may make it impossible to complete your pet's grooming safely. Unmanageable behavior can pose risks to both pets and staff.
• If a pet exhibits severe behaviors—such as biting, excessive struggling, or repeated accidents—the grooming session will be concluded early for safety reasons. In such cases, the full-service fee will still apply.
• Pets with severe matting will be handled with care; however, grooming may leave clipper marks, cause skin irritation, or result in other complications. Shaving matted ears could make pets shake their heads, possibly leading to hematomas.
By having your pet groomed, you acknowledge that Bark Avenue is not responsible for any injuries incurred due to grooming a matted pet.
Additional fees apply for pets with matting.
• If an employee sustains an injury involving your pet (including bites), the incident will be reported to Amarillo Animal and Welfare Management. Pursuant to Texas State Liability Law Title 10, Chapter 822, Subchapter A, the pet owner bears responsibility for all related medical costs.
• If your pet arrives with fleas or ticks, there will be a $50 fee to cover both treatment for your pet and salon disinfection. We may refuse service and recommend that you visit a veterinarian. Keep in mind that parasites can be harmful to both your pet and our staff.
• All prices are firm and may be revised at any time without prior notice.
• Clients whose pets are groomed only once or twice annually will incur a $50 Seasonal Grooming Fee in addition to standard charges.
• EXPRESS services are available for an additional $40, require advance reservation, and are not offered during holiday periods.
• We strongly advise clients to schedule appointments annually or book subsequent visits at the time of pick up for optimal convenience.
• Early pick-up or late drop-off disrupts our operational schedule and can compromise your pet's safety, as distractions may increase the risk of grooming-related incidents.
Safety remains our highest priority. Kindly await our notification via call or text before arriving for pick-up; it is unnecessary to contact us for status updates.
Monday through Friday Drop-off and Pick-up Times
If you anticipate being late, please notify us in advance to ensure we have sufficient time to complete your pet’s grooming session. Arrivals exceeding 30 minutes past the scheduled drop-off time will result in cancellation and a full charge for the missed appointment.
Late pick-ups after 6:00 pm, Monday – Friday, will incur a $50.00 late pick up fee.
Should your pet remain onsite more than 30 minutes after closing, they will be transferred into our boarding facility, incurring a $90.00 fee. You will not be able to retrieve your pet until the following day.
To cancel an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. If you cancel late, your card on file will be charged 100% of the services requested.
You will receive two reminders: The first reminder is sent three days before your appointment (this is when you can make changes to your appointment if needed), and the second reminder comes 1 day in advance to confirm your appointment. After the second reminder, no further changes can be made without incurring additional fees.
If you frequently cancel or reschedule your appointments, services may be discontinued. Each appointment time is reserved for a single client, so cancellations cause a loss of income that cannot be recovered. This policy aims to balance both client needs and business operations.
We understand that emergencies can happen. Please reach out as soon as possible so we can adjust your schedule effectively.
NO-CALL / NO SHOW, your card on file will be charged the full amount of requested services.
I agree not to hold Bark Avenue responsible for any damage, losses, or claims that result from any pre-existing conditions my pet(s) may have, whether those conditions are known or unknown. This applies to situations involving death, injury, or shock. Pre-existing conditions might include old age, anxiety, illnesses, past injuries, skin or coat issues, or mental health matters.
In the event of an emergency, I give permission to Bark Avenue Pet Styling and its staff to seek Veterinary care for my pet if necessary and understand that I am responsible for all fees incurred.
I confirm that I have read and understand my rights and responsibilities as outlined in this agreement with Bark Avenue Pet Styling. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and welcoming environment for both you and your pet.
