BARK AVENUE SALON POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Bark Avenue has Policies and Procedures for the well being of your pet and Bark Avenue employees.

**Every client is required to sign the Policies and Procedures Agreement prior to any grooming services being performed.

** All clients are required to keep a current Credit Card on file.**

Our main goal at Bark Avenue is to provide Quality work in a safe and tranquil environment.

VACCINATIONS & BEHAVIOR & COAT CONDITION

All pets entering Bark Avenue must be current on the following vaccinations.
(DHLPP, BORDETELLA and RABIES)

It is the responsibility of the pet owner to verify and maintain their pets’ vaccinations. Bark Avenue will NOT call your Veterinarian to confirm this information. Bark Avenue highly encourages every client to be informed about the legal consequences of not having your pets vaccinated for Rabies.

For the safety of you and your pet please keep your pet secured on a leash at all times.

• Aggressive/Biting pets will not be accepted for any service.
BARK AVENUE IS A ZERO MUZZLE SALON.
• Unsatisfactory behavior can determine whether a pet can or will be groomed by the
stylist. Please understand that an unmanageable pet can be dangerous to themselves
and the stylist.
• Dogs that exhibit EXTREME behavior such as continuously struggling, biting,
urinating, or defecating during the grooming process will be returned to the owner
unfinished and a $50.00 Hard to Handle Fee will be charged to the card on file.
• Pet owners are responsible for all damages caused by their pet. This includes
damage to the grooming salon (equipment, cages, walls, etc.).
• If your pet is severely matted, every effort will be made to protect your pet’s skin
while removing the matted coat. The skin can become extremely sensitive and can
incur clipper marks, abrasions, cuts, rashes, itchiness or redness. Shaving extremely
matted ears might also encourage head shaking causing hematomas. You, the owner,
agree to in no way hold Cosbyco Investments LLC dba Bark Avenue responsible for any injury
resulting from grooming your matted pet. Additional charges will apply if your pet is matted.
• Injuries caused by your pet to any Bark Avenue Employee such as a dog bite will be
reported to Amarillo Animal and Welfare Management Dept. Also, the owner of said
dog(s) will be responsible for payment of any and all medical bills and medical
treatment of any employee/owner of Bark Avenue. This will be in accordance with
Texas State Liability Law Title 10 Chapter 822 Subchapter A.

FLEA AND TICK CONTROL
• If your pet arrives infested with flea or ticks you will be charged an extra fee. This fee will
cover the treatment applied to your pet as well as the extermination of the salon to protect the
other clients from exposure. Bark Avenue may decline services and refer you to a
Veterinarian for further treatment. Please remember that Parasites can be deadly to
your pet and can cause serious health problems to our employees.

PRICING & SCHEDULING
• Prices are non-negotiable and subject to change without notice at any time.
• Seasonal Grooming (pets that are only groomed once or twice a year) will be charged
a Seasonal Grooming fee of $50 in addition to your pets regular grooming price.
• Clients that require an “EXPRESS” type service will be charges an extra $40.00. Express
service is by appointment only and must be pre-arranged with the stylist. This service
is not available during any holiday season.
• We highly recommend that all clients pre-book annually or schedule your next
appointment when you pick up your pet. Discounts are available for prebooked appointments. Ask
your stylist for all the details.
• Early pick ups and late drop offs can interrupt our grooming schedule and potentially
cause a pet to be injured. Our grooming instruments are very sharp, and any
distraction can cause injury. Safety is our number one concern for our employees and
your pet.

Please do not call to check if your pet is ready to be picked up. We will call or
text you when your pet is read

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you are 30 minutes past the drop off time, we will cancel your appointment and consider you a NO CALL- NO SHOW and your card on file will be charged the full amount of the grooming service for the missed appointment. Appointments canceled within 24 hours of your appointment time will be considered a same day cancellation and your card on file will be charged for the full amount of the missed appointment. Bark Avenue understands that emergencies happen and will consider waiving the fee one time per year. Clients that habitually cancel or reschedule their appointments will be terminated from Bark Avenue.

Late pick-ups (after 6pm Monday - Friday will result in a $45.00 fee.

ANY PET LEFT MORE THAN ONE HOUR AFTER CLOSING WILL BE BOARDED AND WILL INCUR A $90.00 FEE IN ADDITION TO YOUR NORMAL GROOMING FEE AND YOUR PET WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE NEXT DAY FOR PICK UP.

PET OWNER AGREEMENT
I agree to hold harmless from damage, loss or claims arising from any known or unknown pre-existing conditions of my pet(s). Any/All damages, loss or claims shall include but not limited to death, injury or shock. Said pre-existing conditions shall not be limited to advanced age, extreme nervousness, neurosis, illness, previous injury, skin and coat conditions or mental conditions etc.

I authorize Cosbyco Investments LLC dba Bark Avenue and its employees to act as my agent in the event that veterinarian OR boarding services are required.

I have read and understand my rights and obligations as written in this entire agreement for the services of pet grooming by Cosbyco Investments LLC dba Bark Avenue.
